This engine is compatible to replace your old Briggs and Stratton engine that was 500cc but rated at 18.5 HP, 19.5 HP. Briggs and Stratton 500cc engine is rated at most 17.5 HP nowadays.
VERY IMPORTANT (PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING): This is a very standard and universal for BRIGGS and STRATTON with same VERTICAL crankshaft size.
