DESCRIPTION:
Has a John Deere decal on the engine, but the engine can be installed on ANY lawn mower as long as the old engine has the same crankshaft size and other specifications as the new one (this one). VERY IMPORTANT (PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING): This is a very standard and universal for BRIGGS and STRATTON with same VERTICAL crankshaft size. If your engine looks similar to this, has same 1" dia. x 3-5/32" keyed crankshaft and you don't care about the HP difference, you can use this engine. Please make sure your engine has the same crankshaft size. Otherwise, it will not work. Commercial Turf Series "V" Twins: specifically designed for zero-turn mowers and other high-debris applications that endure extended use in extreme conditions, these rugged engines are built to get the job done day in an day out. The Commercial Series V-Twin engine is designed with patented 5 step Debris Management System and cyclonic air filter that keeps harmful debris out of the engine. In addition to the longer air filter replacement internal, the Commercial Series V-Twin engine includes tool-less covers, debris inspection ports and drop-in air filters with a spring-loaded snap to make maintenance faster and easier. Choke-a-matic :Your mower may have a separate cable to connect to the choke device of your engine. Our engine has a Choke-a-matic feature. What this means is that the choke and throttle device connect to the same cable. If you push the throttle lever all the way up, it will choke the engine. So you will have to mark on your throttle lever where is the maximum point. If you pass that point, you will choke the engine. We think you may be able to transfer the choking device/control from your old engine to the new one or you can always get a combined choke-throttle lever with cable from a local mower shop that fits your mower.
