Notice: This engine is equipped with a 230V electric starter. If you own a similar Briggs & Stratton Model 15C engine, you may be able to remove this engine’s 230V electric starter and replace it with your current 120V electric starter. If the starters are not interchangeable, a new 120V electric starter can be ordered for this engine. Please confirm compatibility before making any changes.
This engine has a 230 volt electric starter. If you don't care about the 230 volt electric starter, you can use this engine to replace the engine 15A114-0342-E1 on Craftsman 536.881850 (536881850) and 536.881851 (536.881851) . Your old engine must have the same crankshaft size as the new replacement engine. PLEASE contact us with your engine MODEL and TYPE numbers if you are not sure about your engine's crankshaft size. You can always measure the crankshaft size. VERY IMPORTANT (PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING): This is a very standard and universal for BRIGGS and STRATTON SNOW BLOWER ENGINE with same HORIZONTAL crankshaft size. If your engine looks similar to this, has same 3/4” Dia. x 2.434” Keyed Crankshaft and you don't care about the HP or Gross Torque difference, you can use this engine.
