Your old engine must have the same crankshaft size as the new replacement engine. PLEASE contact us with your engine MODEL and TYPE numbers if you are not sure about your engine's crankshaft size. You can always measure the crankshaft size.
VERY IMPORTANT (PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING): This is a very standard and universal for BRIGGS and STRATTON with same VERTICAL crankshaft size. This engine is compatible to replace a lot of different Briggs and Stratton Twin Cylinder Intek engines installed on John Deere, Craftsman, Husqvarna, Poulan mowers, etc...If your engine looks similar to this, has same 1” Dia. x 3.16” DYNAMICALLY BALANCED keyed VERTICAL Crankshaft and you don't care about the HP difference, you can use this engine. Please make sure your engine has the same crankshaft size. Otherwise, it will not work. This engine has Remote Choke Control , which means your mower must have a choke cable (control) to use it. If it does not have have a choke cable, you will have to get one at a local mower repair shop. It is not that expensive and not hard to install the cable.
