    4. Although spent a lot of time to carefully study about your engine, prepare, review, and compose this page to believe that your engine crankshaft size is 1 1/8" diameter x 4 5/16" length, it is still your responsibility to measure your engine crankshaft to double check if it is the same.

Other minor things that you may have to do when you buy the long block to replace your engine including but not limited to: transfer your wire harness from your old engine to the new one if it is not the same (most of these have similar wire harness though), tap/thread the mounting holes (as most of brand new engines did not have the mounting holes threaded/tapped by the manufacturer) etc..

If you believe more or less Horse Power (HP) CC or Gross Torque than your current engine will be fine with your mower, you can buy any of the engine in this box. Please choose HP, CC, and Gross Torque and engine choke style accordingly.
Your KOHLER COURAGE engine is no longer made and it was replaced by the KOHLER 7000 SERIES engine. The mounting pattern is the same as the KOHLER COURAGE. You can swap electric starter between your KOHLER COURAGE and our KOHLER 7000 SERIES engine if you have to.
