NOTICE:
  • Your engine is no longer made by Kohler. We have a solution for you to repower your mower with this special KOHLER Courage long block. Replace any Kohler Courage single cylinder engine Model SV470 to SV620 regardless of HP

  • Buy this SPECIAL long block from us. Do not be mistaken this as some short block from our competitors' offering. If you buy a short block, you will have to transfer a lot of parts from your old engine and have a lot of work to do.

  • This long block will service any single cylinder Kohler Courage SV470 to SV620 engine, with either the gravity-fed or fuel pump configuration. This unique long block includes the complete electrical system and is set up for a gravity-fed fuel system.

    WHAT NEEDED FROM YOUR OLD ENGINE AND WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
    1. This Single Cylinder Kohler Courage long block came with almost everything. You MUST still have your original engine and the following parts and their related parts:
          a. blowing house (top cover)
          b. carburetor with the attached carburetor's linkages
          c. muffler

    2. You will need to transfer your original engine's blower housing (cover) to the KOHLER Courage long block.

    3. You will need to transfer your original engine's muffler to the KOHLER Courage long block.

    4. Depending on your engine year of manufacture (serial number) you may be able to transfer the carburetor and all the linkages that are connected to the carburetor to the KOHLER Courage long block. If it does not work or you just need a brand new carburetor, you can purchase the correct Kohler Courage Single cylinder engine carburetor from us. Or contact us to get the right one.

    5. A universal electric fuel pump kit is included with the long block. If the original engine has a fuel pump, the electric fuel pump must be installed. Please follow the installation instructions provided in the electric fuel pump kit. If your original engine does not have a fuel pump, you won't need to install the electric fuel pump.

    6. Tap/thread 4 mounting holes the same thread size as your old mounting bolts so that you can reuse them.
    WHAT WILL BE INCLUDED:
    • A BRAND NEW single cylinder Kohler Courage Long block
    • Electric fuel pump and fuel line (hose) and gaskets (If your old engine has a fuel pump, you will need to install this electric fuel pump. Otherwise, you won't have to.)
    • Fuel filter
    • Installation instructions for the long block and electric fuel pump.
    • You can contact us for free support after your purchase. Others may charge you a support fee for this.

    Other minor things that you may have to do when you buy the long block to replace your engine including but not limited to: transfer your wire harness from your old engine to the new one if it is not the same (most of these have similar wire harness though), tap/thread the mounting holes (as most of brand new engines did not have the mounting holes threaded/tapped by the manufacturer) etc..
