If you believe more or less Horse Power (HP) CC or Gross Torque than your current engine will be fine with your mower, you can buy any of the engine in this box. Please choose HP, CC, and Gross Torque accordingly.

Although spent a lot of time to carefully study about your engine, prepare, review, and compose this page to believe that your engine crankshaft size is 1-1/8" diameter x about 4-5/16" length, it is still your responsibility to measure your engine crankshaft to double check if it is the same.

Minor things that you may have to do when you buy any of these engine to replace your engine including but not limited to: transfer your wire harness from your old engine to the new one (most of these have similar wire harness though), tap/thread the mounting holes (as most of brand new engines did not have the mounting holes threaded/tapped by the manufacturer), get new cable for the choke or use the same cable for choke and throttle as some Kohler Courage engines have separate connection for the choke cable and the others have one connection for both choke and throttle control...

Your Kohler Courage engine is no longer made and it was replaced by the Kohler KT 7000 Series engine. The mounting pattern is the same as the Kohler Courage. You can swap electric starter between the Kohler Courage and the KT 7000 series if you have to.
