KOHLER COURAGE TWIN CYLINDER

If you believe more or less Horse Power (HP) CC or Gross Torque than your current engine will be fine with your mower, you can buy any of the engine in this box. Please choose HP, CC, and Gross Torque accordingly.

If your engine SPEC number is either: SV720-0010 , SV720S-0010 SV720-0010 SV720S0010 or SV7200010 or PA-SV720S-0010 or PA-SV720-0010 or PASV720S-0010 or PASV720-0010 or PASV720S-0010 or PASV7200010 or PS-SV720-0010 or PS-SV720S-0010 or PSSV7200010 or PSSV720S0010, our engines on this page have the following similarities and you can buy any of them to fit your needs:
    1. Bolt pattern - The mounting hole pattern are the same.
    2. The dimmension.
    3. Muffler configuration is the same (you can reuse your old muffler)
    4. Although spent a lot of time to carefully study about your engine, prepare, review, and compose this page to believe that your engine crankshaft size is 1" diameter x 3-5/32" length, it is still your responsibility to measure your engine crankshaft to double check if it is the same.
Minor things that you may have to do when you buy any of these engine to replace your engine including but not limited to: transfer your wire harness from your old engine to the new one (most of these have similar wire harness though), tap/thread the mounting holes (as most of brand new engines did not have the mounting holes threaded/tapped by the manufacturer), etc...
IMPORTANT NOTICES:
Your Kohler Courage engine is no longer made and it was replaced by the KOHLER 7000 Series engine. The mounting pattern of KOHLER 7000 SERIES engine is the same as the KOHLER COURAGE engine. You can swap electric starter between the Kohler Courage and the KOHLER 7000 series if you have to or your old engine's electric starter had a built-in solenoid. If the old electric starter does not have a built-in solenoid, you don't have to swap it.

ENGINE CONTROL NOTICES
   1. If your mower has two (2) control cables, a choke control cable and a throttle control cable separately, buy engine with Remote Manual Choke option.

   2. If your mower has only one (1) control cable for both throttle and choke control, buy an engine with Throttle/Choke Combined option.

   3. If you buy the engine with Smart (Automatic) Choke option you don't have to worry about connecting the choke cable. This is a nice option since the engine will be choked automatically and you can use it to replace either Throttle/Choke Combined or Remote Manual Choke engine.

   4. Last option. If there is no right choke and throttle engine here, you will have to buy whatever available on this page and make it works. Read the following examples.

    Example 1: If your mower does not have a choke cable and you buy our Remote Manual Choke engine, you will have to buy a choke cable to install on your mower to use it with the new engine.

    Example 2: If your mower has a remote (manual) choke cable and you buy our Throttle/Choke Combined engine you will either using the current throttle cable on your mower or buying a new Throttle/Choke Combined cable. If you use the current throttle cable and connect it to the Throttle/Choke Combined engine, the engine will be choked if you push the throttle control all the way up to start the engine. After the engine started you will pull the throttle control down a little bit to get to full throttle or at the any level for engine speed you want.
