Your old engine must have the same crankshaft size as the new replacement engine. PLEASE contact us with your engine MODEL and TYPE numbers if you are not sure about your engine's crankshaft size. You can always measure the crankshaft size.

    VERY IMPORTANT (PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING):
    This is a great replacement engine for John Deere, Snapper, Dixie Chopper, Walker, Husqvarna, MTD, AYP, Wright Stander, Exmark, and many others with same vertical crankshaft, mounting pattern, dimensions and other specs. If your engine looks similar to this, has same 1” Dia. x 3-5/32” length Keyed Crankshaft and you don't care about the HP or Gross Torque difference, you can use this engine. Please make sure your engine has the same crankshaft size. Otherwise, it will not work.

    This vertical crankshaft engine WILL NOT replace a Horizontal (side) crankshaft engine.

    You may have to transfer the wire plug from your old engine over if the new one is not the same.
