Your old engine must have the same crankshaft size as the new replacement engine. PLEASE contact us with your engine MODEL and TYPE numbers if you are not sure about your engine's crankshaft size. You can always measure the crankshaft size.
DESCRIPTION VERY IMPORTANT (PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING): This is a great replacement engine for: SEARS, JOHN DEERE, SNAPPER, HUSQVARNA, MTD, AYP, AND MANY OTHERS With the same vertical crankshaft and mounting pattern, and dimensions. If your engine looks similar to this, has same 1" dia. x 3-5/32" length keyed crankshaft and you don't care about the HP or Gross Torque difference, you can use this engine. Please make sure your engine has the same crankshaft size. Otherwise, it will not work. This vertical crankshaft engine WILL NOT replace a Horizontal (side) crankshaft engine. Vertical Crankshaft Engine when mounted, the crankshaft will be on the bottom pointing down. If you are not sure about your engine crankshaft size, please call us.
