This tapping service can be only ordered together with an engine from us. Tapping service is to cut the threads on the inner diameter of the engine's 4 mounting holes

Service: We will tap 4 mounting holes to the size 3/8-16 NC on your purchased engine to make it ready to mount.

- If you are not sure what thread size of your engine mounting bolt is, you can take one mounting bolt to a hardware store to check the size before ordering this service.

- Please make sure your old mounting bolt size is 3/8-16 NC. If you have different thread size mounting bolt, please let us know.

This engine will NOT work for ARIEN snowblower

Model # OH318SA-221848B (OLD MODEL OHSK80)

NO ALTERNATOR. This means that you will not be able to connect your snowblower's headlight, hand warmer or anything that requires the electric power to operate to this engine because it does not have an alternator. You can install an alternator on this engine, but it will requires more parts and labor.

VERY IMPORTANT (PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING):

Make sure your current engine has 1 main crankshaft and same size and it does not have a secondary PTO (smaller shaft). If you see a double pulley to run 2 belts (1 belt to run the wheels, other belt to run the auger) on the same main crankshaft, it is very much likely that your engine only have 1 crankshaft.
This is a great replacement engine for many SNOW TECUMSEH engines that have SAME HORIZONTAL CRANKSHAFT SIZE.
Mounting patterns (4 holes in the base) are the same with all 8-11 HP Tecumseh Snow Engines
This horizontal crankshaft engine WILL NOT replace a vertical crankshaft engine
